In our oviparous unit, we learned about birds, animals, fish, and reptiles that produce eggs.  The children followed the life cycle of a chicken.  We had eggs in an incubator at our daycare.  The children watched and followed the chicks' formation in the eggs each day.  They then had the amazing opportunity to watch the chicks peck open the eggs and emerge.
