Fire Evacuation Procedure
In case of a fire all children and staff are to leave the centre immediately. No one is to remain in the building or re-enter the building after they leave, until it is cleared by the fire department or staff (in case of a false alarm).
⦁ When leaving the building the last staff out should shut
the outside door behind them.
⦁ All staff and children are to meet at the meeting spot,
the small evergreen tree on our front lawn, and remain
there until cleared to re-enter the house or until
dismissed to their parents.
⦁ Staff must take attendance and be certain all children
are accounted for.
⦁ 9-1-1 is to be called by a staff member if there is a
or suspected fire.
⦁ If there is a fire and the centre must close, parents are
to be called to come and get their children.
